Mavin Kakkar makes music to wake people up to the realities we ignore and the soul we forget. The Long Island, NY artist writes, records, and engineers his own songs, then directs the visuals, rollouts, and content himself, with no label and no team behind the curtain.

In January 2025 he livestreamed the making of an entire album over a 7-day marathon, ending in a 24-hour session that produced I Smoke Too Much. No team, no sleep, no outside help: just a mic, a camera, and the will to create without a filter. It marked his shift from potential to proof.

He followed it with a year of weekly releases, building a catalog of emotional concept records, rage-adjacent freestyles, experimental remixes, and personal collaborations. One Way St, born during the 24-hour stream, sparked an ongoing partnership with producer plentyguap that still shapes his sound. Tracks like Boom Bye, Seizure Boi, and I Hope Nobody Likes Me trace the through-line of his work: confrontation, isolation, and emergence. He felt like too much for most spaces and found his rhythm in that discomfort, through every setback along the way.

Now he's moving from volume to vision. D.R.A.K.E (Do Not Resuscitate At All Kost Ever), released September 30, 2026, flips 11 Drake records into one story about the toxic relationships he swore he'd never go back to. Next is PNK Roses, a 21-track album made as a film, with every song a scene, arriving March 22, 2027.

Beyond music, Mavin runs Heaven's Descent, his creative collective and home of the O.S.S clothing line.

His message is simple: you don't need to have it all figured out. The joy is in the journey.
